About Current Dynamics
What's up everyone,

My name is Sawyer Keller, and I am the owner of Current Dynamics. I am an Electrical Engineer by degree, a manufacturing engineer by trade, and the owner of Current Dynamics by passion.

My decision to start Current Dynamics all started with years of working with my dad. My dad is in the scrap and recycling business, and he uses a fleet of dump trailers to move all of the scrap metal around. These dump trailers use hydraulic pumps which are driven by electric motors. Because of their constant use, my dad never seemed to have time to charge the batteries on the trailers, so for years I constantly had to drag out a set of jumper cables to connect the hydraulic pump motors to the batteries on the truck so we could dump the trailer. When I say that I hated these jumper cables, I mean it. They were terrible. They used poor quality wire that was too small and it wasn't tinned. They had cheap clamps with weeks springs and teeth that were riveted in, and the two cables were held together with zip ties that looked like the tails were cut off with a pair of rusty scissors. Every time I pulled them out it seems like I cut my hands on the zip ties. The rivets holding the teeth in would come loose over time which would cause the teeth to fall out. If I could keep the teeth in the clamps, I would attach them to the batteries, but the worn out springs were so loose they would fall off the terminals, so I would have to get them perched in just the right position to stay on. Then once they were attached I would have to run back and forth jiggling the clamps on each in to make sure the connection was good, only for it to take far too long for the trailer to dump and put undo stress on the hydraulic pump motor because the small corroded cables led to a lot of resistance and voltage drop.

After dealing with this for many years on countless sets of cables from multiple manufacturers, I set out on a mission to engineer, source material, prototype, and assemble the highest quality set of jumper cables possible. Once I completed the first set, I was overwhelmed with the feedback I received on them. Every time someone saw me use them they asked where they could get a set. Once I realized the market demand, I decided to start sharing my jumper cables with the rest of the world, and Current Dynamics was created.

After the success of the jumper cables, I started considering other pitfalls of inferior automotive electrical systems I had noticed over the years. As I continued to notice more issues, I continued to design more solutions. The rest is history...

To this day, I strive to provide the highest quality automotive electrical solutions available. I spend countless hours engineering, sourcing and testing components, and assembling prototypes in order to provide my customers the highest quality solutions on the market. I will be the first to say, if you are looking for something cheap, Current Dynamics is not the brand for you. For those of you who are looking for the highest performance product available with some serious longevity, you have come to the right place.
